There are a few standard sizes with ready made vanity units which are 600mm 750mm 900mm 1200mm and 1500mm. There are vanities that are even smaller than this and these are perfect for a small powder room or guest bathrooms. The Dante vanity range for example features a 400mm bathroom vanity which is lovely and compact for a small bathroom area. You can of course have it custom made to the size that is well fitted in your bathroom. If you decide to go with this option there are a couple of things to consider:
When any one unit gets damaged you dont need to chance the entire vanity. Just replace the unit that is damaged. The sinks can be embedded in the counters or they can be kept over the counters. Both these combinations look very good. When you are buying the bathroom vanities make sure that the sinks are large and broad. Generally the trend is to have white colored vanity sinks but these days people prefer multicolored vanity sinks.
When designing the bathroom you need to understand that all the bathroom components are important. Just designing the bath tub is not sufficient. You need to have a complete bathroom. Many people get great ideas when they are in the bathroom. Take for example the great Archimedes he got a brilliant idea when he was in the bath tub. If you want your ideas to flow very well you need to make the bathroom ambiance very conducive and pleasant.
If you dont find any good bathroom vanities in the market you will want to get one made as per your specification. Check with some vanity manufacturers if they can give you a quote for the custom made vanities. Trying to make a bathroom vanity on your own is not difficult but if you dont know the basics of architecture you will find it very difficult. Vanities can be kept in the bathroom as well as in the bedroom.
